Residential Property Sales on the Spanish Costa Blanca

Moraira

The Marina in MorairaMoraira’s perfect orientation provides most of its properties with a southerly downhill view towards the sea. The surrounding hills shelter the village from northerly winds in the winter and a natural vortex for cooling summer sea breezes. Protected for centuries by its watchtower and castle, the village atmosphere of this pretty town has made it a favourite with the visitors. The combination of a well equipped resort and traditional Spanish life makes for a wonderful atmosphere.

Although there is still a fishing harbour, the village itself has grown with a large marina and nautical club. There are daily auctions in the fish market and on Fridays there is a street market.

There are some lovely sheltered beaches in and around Moraira. At El Portet there is a delightful beach and cove with bars and restaurants alongside. Originally a small fishing village, Moraira has grown into one of Spain’s finest holiday and residential village resorts.

The centre, with its small and colourful main street, still retains much of its original character and atmosphere. Wander through its narrow streets where small boutiques and pavement cafes vie for your attention. Towards the marina there are numerous waterfront cafes and restaurants providing the ideal locations to relax and watch the world go by.

The local Authoroty has exerted strong planning controls which have eliminated high rise development found in many other Spanish resorts. For windsurfers there is an excellent beach just to the south where a steady breeze usually provides ideal conditions. Alternatively, hire a boat from the marina and just potter along the coast. Gold courses, stables and tennis clubs are nearby.
