The
Marina Alta on the Costa Blanca
The
marina alta extends from Altea in the south to Denia in
the north and has some of the most beautiful countryside
in spain. The countryside ranges from secluded coves and
beaches with crystal clear waters to spectacular mountain
ranges reaching over 4000 feet!
The area is easily accessible from both Alicante and Valencia
airports via the excellent motorway system taking around
an hour to reach the centre of the region.
The Costa Blanca has all you could possibly want including
excellent shopping and a huge range of restaurants and
bars to suit all tastes, there are the theme parks to entertain
the kids (and the adults!), wonderful scenery and mountains
ideal for walking, moutainbiking, horse riding and guided
'safaris'.
The nightlife in this area of Spain is highly varied,
try a traditional Spanish restaurant, with live music,
entertainment and dancing. Maybe a BBQ on the beach, or
a cooling drink at one of the many sea front terraces.
Spend some time in one of the local bars and soak up some
of the atmosphere.
Unlike most of the UK, and other certain areas of Spain,
the Costa Blanca also has a very low crime rate. We now have several international schools and the medical
centres are superb with modern hospitals in Denia and
Benidorm and many private hospitals and 'clinica'.
This region of Spain is more natural than other coastal
resorts of the country, is not over commercialised, and
according to the World Health Organization it is "one of
the healthiest places in the world to live".
